The folks at Lucasfilm apparently geeked out when they saw the place and begged to shoot a bunch of scenes for the upcoming live-action TV spinoff The Mandalorian there since the setting actually looks better than the real movie/TV sets (which, after all, only have to look convincing onscreen and from a specific angle). Disney nixed that plan since they weren’t willing to delay the park opening to accommodate a shooting schedule.
