Hedgehog Facts

These things are going bonkers on Facebook (yeah, we have a FB page for our pet - stop judging). Usually posts that take off a bit get around 100-110 likes and maybe 30-40 shares. Hedgehog Facts has 150 likes and 250 shares, and it’s kind of hard to keep up on the comments.

If you have Indian markets in your neck of the woods, try masala tea. Its the stuff they are calling “chai” these days in various places. The Indian brands are much better tasting and about 1/2 of the price of well known brands.

I love the local Indian markets. There’s one place that had little bags of freshly ground spices that are simple perfection. We used to get jars of the masala tea powder to mix in with the tea (best with boiled milk) and add some extra cardamom. Mmm. The black teas are mixed, some are great, some a little outside my norms. Now we’re mostly just doing Twinings (as a Philistine, I love their Black Currant tea) since it’s simple and in the morning I want the fastest path to the tea.

Don’t we all, really?

Mine! Fact.

Fact: Venti cups are objectively anti-hedgehog.

Sometimes hedgehog facts are complicated.

Hedgehogs are actually fun in many work settings.

Is Pricklepants really ever on break? I do dump a lot more there than here, since I don’t want to besiege this place with that kind of volume.

I am a huge fan of the masala black teas in the bag for my quick tea fix. I usually buy it in the 100 bag boxes and it lasts for months. But I found out the hard way that you really need to cut it with milk or it is like good tasting battery acid in your stomach. I make ice tea with it (3 tea bags in a pitcher with lukewarm water put in the fridge overnight). Great summer stuff.

Fun fact: we’re educating the Wee Princess Yet To Be Named in classic cinema. Currently watching Niece of Hedgezilla. She is very taken by Hedgezilla Junior:
