Yeah, they are lemurs, but they look nothing like the ring-tailed lemur in the photo:

In the rain forest bugs are everywhere. They could be digging out bugs that lodged in their windpipes.
There ya go, that’s my defense of disgusting lemur behavior. Who doesn’t love lemurs.
