Nothing revolutionary, but clever application of existing ways & means.
For some reason, Fisher doesn’t seem to be invested in prefab elements. Everything said in the video along the lines of “you can’t do this with prefab elements” is BS.

It’s not just a wall; with the embankment and the (literal) highway this is full blown fortification.
By placing the lay-bys facing outwards they’d be ideal positions for heavy machine guns / light artillery.
The road is wide enough to conveniently move sizable mechanized units.
If you are building Fortess AmericaTM you’re gonna want a moat to go with that wall. Don’t worry about the ditch-digging.

When the vid showed the lay bys being added I expected sentry guns to pop up like in the adds for those mobile game adds where you defend against zombie hordes.
Now that I wrote it, may the “zombie phase” of the last year’s in western culture have contributed to a growing fear of “our civilization” being swallowed by dehumanized hordes of people?

When the animations of the “service road” kicked in and it being raised one-sided for “better overview” and the bastion like structures I expected it to drift into those “Last Shelter” mobile game adds.
I think the MAGA crowd doesn’t think this is an as far fetched comparison… dehumanized hordes storming on one must defend against.
