It also helps to know the generic names of medication that you may think you’ll need. I needed an antihistamine while in Japan and the pharmacist had no idea what Benadryl was (but they had no problem finding diphenhydramine for me).

Understandably, you can’t be precise. One often ends up going to Japan by accident on the way home from work and the like.

Haha I came here to point that out, although I realized I truly can’t remember how many times I’ve been to Toronto so I can’t throw too much shade. But that didn’t involve a 15 hr flight!
The first thing to do is not fly. Go by train and boat.
