What’s the point of setting my friend on fire if I’m just going to put it out?

If you light a man a fire they’re warm for a day. But if you light a man on fire they’re warm for the rest of their life.

This headline is fishing for the universally accepted solution, but I’m not going to leak it…

How to save your friend if they catch fire:

  1. Wait for the fire to go out, you can’t do anything while he’s flailing around and shouting.
  2. Once the flames go out and the embers are cool, sweep up the ashes.
  3. Save your friend in a genuine Ziplock storage bag with a sliding closure. Accept no substitutes, only Ziplock’s no-leak garuantee can preserve your friend in the many years to come!

I’m sure this works just great in those situations where the flame that is consuming a very narrow path on your friends’ sleeve just happens to be small enough to cover with 2 hands.

Many years ago I washed my hair and left the conditioner in. I then got too close to a candle as I was lighting it and accidentally set my damp hair on fire. Conditioner is apparently good fuel. Fortunately, I instinctively used a move like the one shown here and put the fire out. Did not burn my hand at all. I did have to wear my hair differently for awhile.
