Back in my wasted youth, I stayed with friends at their rural compound. I slept in a nook in the sloppy garage next to the henhouse. I awoke one morning, rolled over in my sleeping bag… and nearly crushed an egg. Some hen had quietly crawled in me and reproduced. Good thing I was asleep, hey?
