In 1997, I moved from Florida to Virginia in a U-Haul with my German Shepherd. My girlfriend and I were eating dinner at some fast food restaurant the first day, and this horn starts going off. I couldn’t understand why someone didn’t do something about whoever was laying on the horn non-stop.
Of course, it was Tolstoy, up in the driver’s seat with both paws on the horn. I ran over to make him stop and that was game over. After that, anytime I left him in the truck for more than 90 seconds he knew he could make me run back by honking the horn.
I really miss that dog.
