The trouble with us nerds is that we have to take any opportunity to show off our superior knowledge by correcting someone, even if it’s completely irrelevant to the topic at hand.
The bee crisis is very real, it’s a significant problem, it needs to be dealt with, but bees are not going extinct and they are not going to suddenly vanish from the Earth. Source, source, source. And even if they were, one dude dumping out a few pounds of the 1.5 million tons or so produced last year would not noticeably hasten the exhaustion of our global honey supply. Let’s try to be realistic and stay on topic.
