I finally took the time to read the fine article. It’s an interesting take on how to deal with the problems of charging and controlling an underwater device.
I recently redesigned my square Nixie watch, which has a USB charging port. The redesign was to incorporate a USB charging port that claims to be water-resistant. I am hoping to test that ability soon. I chose a connector made by EDAC that is sealed with epoxy and an O-ring.
That said, the screw-together design looks rather classy.
