Way, way back in the day, I decided to take up bass to play in a band. I could play classical guitar moderately well, so how hard could it be? Two less strings, ya know. Boy, was I stupid.
And that was an album without too much slap. The only thing worse than slap bass in rock music is RHCP.

Holy crap this youtuber used so many words wrong in musical explanations. Iām also going to venture that the youtuber is not actually a bass player himself.
Those lists are always about fandom rather than musicianship or how the person fits in the band functionally.
Cant argue with that. Harris has earned his legacy for sure.
Thats what us bass players are supposed to do whether we play fancy or not.
