Well, that was pretty wonderful.
That was hilarious!
I wish I had some ducks to try this on.
We were at a local farm/petting zoo with the kiddo when she was little, and they had some baby ducks. I told her to try to pick one up, and she told tried to walk after it and it ran away.
He’s wearing shoes!
I don’t think this would have worked on my ducks. Little devious bastards.
I do feel bad for them all eventually getting eaten. I feel especially bad for Little Chuck the Chicken Duck who somehow escaped from the chicken coop one night, between when we herded her in there and when we closed the door, and was never seen again.
If it’s your duck, teaching them a cue usually works pretty well. Otherwise, make sure your shoe lace is undone. That’ll distract them long enough thay you can pick it up.
I was just going to say: don’t try this with a swan!
But then again, no one is more fearless than an older woman.
