This is a fantastic and beautiful book and you should buy it immediately if not sooner. One of the best comics I read last year.

The woodcut style is particularly effective in the large scale “set pieces” the whirling crowd at a dance, a hallucinatory meditation on the connectedness of the environment with references to Native American culture pop into memory (and I haven’t seen the book since I read it a year ago or so).

I can wholeheartedly concur with the recommendation above.

I love Woody and all, but there was a stunning blind spot on display there.
