Just FYI, I’ve done variations on this theme with various polyacrylate glues and borax, and there are some weird long term effects that aren’t advertised in all these “howto”'s

  1. The opaque glues (elmer’s white etc…) tend to continue to very slowly polymerize. You’ll probably get a month or two of your fun slime pending ambient temperature, but then it starts to firm up, and eventually you get a soft non-flowing solid.

  2. the clear glues (glitter glue etc…) tend to do the exact opposite. The slowly de-polymerize after a few months, reverting back to a somewhat gluey state. Haven’t tried to re-polymerize a batch of de-polymerized slime to see if it’s possible.
