I like the idea, but if we’re going to limit ourselves to oddball Z-80 hardware, it would probably be easier (or at least, more useful) to port CP/M. There’s a lot of old but perfectly usable CP/M software out there (WordStar being a classic example).
Of course, then the problem becomes archiving the software in a form that can still be used post-collapse.
