Getting Ridiculous
I was tempted to get them and substitute some of the normal creamers in the cafeteria. But, there are a handful of alcohol abstaining folks who may have fallen prey to that gambit.
Never mind that was what stopped me and not the āwhole drinking at workā thing. (Which is forbidden by policy)
Well, I was thinking of doing this for Christmas, but Iāve changed my mind:
What do you see as objectionable within the article?
The āsore losersā bit only ever seems to be applied by the press to one partyās electoral losses, though itās complete assholery, regardless. I didnāt complain when Republicans flipped out and protested Obama winning before heād done a thing. Neither did the press. I did made fun of them for making ridiculous claims, but I wouldnāt complain if that was what was happening here.
Worse, itās more of the same āboth-sidesā BS that has made me hate the press for ever so very long now. Giving moral equivalence to white supremacists and those opposed to white supremacists legitimizes white supremacists - fuck that, fuck the author for going there, and fuck the editor for letting that pass. Iām not certainly not going to reward that with a subscription.
Every newspaper has arsehole columnists, though. Always have. Lots of op-eds are written to be deliberately contrary to the readership.
I am going to subscribe to some news sources. The WaPo is most likely on the list, because it does do a lot of good journalism. Soās the Graun, and I loathe a lot of their columnists.
That is true. I have a lot of qualms with paying a paper that prints a middle finger to my face while carrying water for white supremacists:
After I cool down I may still subscribe for the reporting (the WaPo was one of the few beacons of light in a dark election) and just write off the columnists, but Jesus H thatās not a great way to bring in readers.
Silly libtard, that never happened. Nor did Trump and his ilk threaten to riot if he lost. Nor are they being anything but inclusive and magnanimous. Itās all in our heads, silly. /s
