Yep! There aren’t any fool proof options really (bird detritus in spinach? It is quite common) so clean as well as you can and buy from trusted sources.
And keep in mind our food sources, procedures, and tools are better than in the history of humankind.

Of course the day after i state this, a silicone basting brush catches my eye. 100% easier to clean than the natural brushes, and zero chance of finding a boar’s hair in my baklava.
