Playing a game with a representation of a character isn’t quite the same as threatening to kill the family of the person in the costume, right?
Like having someone with a sword show up at Benedict Cumberbatch”s house because they wanted to slay Smaug.
I think the characters playing that Giuliani daytime show guy have really gone off, who’re they, you know? Yeah, the theater on their sidewalks could have some half-mirrors and censers if not live iron. It is nice to have the conversion made of 20 dorks shooting a scene where a costume shows lining instead of making the actor and fam. feel really threatened.
But the thing that was so irritating about it was just how cloying and insincere Barney was. Yes, it wasn’t for me, but I never felt that way about Fred Rogers or Sesame Street, even long after I outgrew those shows. Those shows seemed to be made by people who really cared for and respected children – Barney just seemed like a soulless cashgrab deserving of contempt.
