If you can work remotely, Barbados want you to come and stay for a year

If Barbados is like other Caribbean islands, the tariffs on cars are so high it’s not really practical to own one anyway (or at least not a new or nice one).

English isn’t my first language, but I believe this can be interpreted in two ways.

I’m torn between offering my sympathies (if you means your wife wants a divorce) or being like :joy: if that was not the intended meaning.

Just to combine other posts…what -kind- of life sentence? Can’t I just gal-pal a referendum while I’m slacking and picking the salt crystals out of my keyboard collection? I mean, solar powered car, do they make you train birds or some other medium-model task for that?

Not such a small island you can run around it every morning.

Why would you do that?

To paraphrase Marc-Uwe Kling, Die rote Sonne von Barbados can be interpreted as the promise of a new, socialist dawn. Or the blood-red sun of the apocalypse.
I’ll concede that the layers of meaning are quite complex here.
