Holy shit! I wonder what kind of car it was?

Some kind of Audi, you could see the 4 rings logo before I started the video.

Amazing! I wonder how it caught on fire? At least it doesn’t look like it’s gonna spread, as it’s not near to anything else… Is that a firefighter there?

Yep! We noticed it when something exploded, at first we though there was a shooting. I have a video but it was too big, it’s on Instagram though Anna Gordon-Cavanaugh on Instagram: "There’s always something interesting to see in the Home Depot parking lot!"

Oh No Wow GIF by The Great British Bake Off

I saw a car on fire on the side of the highway once, last year sometime. I could feel the heat as I drove past it. it’s something to behold for sure…

I hope no one was hurt!

No one was in the car, not sure how it started as we noticed right as the FD showed up. We could feel the heat from our balcony, if lightly. It must have been hot as heck!

Leaving Chattanooga once a few years ago, getting off the interstate to gas up, we passed a sedan on fire on the exit ramp. I called 911, told the operator that there was a 4-door passenger car on fire on the ramp at Exit ## from westbound I-24. The operator asked me what kind of car it was: make/model/color etc. I said I couldn’t see any of those details as we drove by it because it was ON FIRE, but I was pretty sure it was the only car ON FIRE at that particular exit and would be easy to spot.

What is this thing?

Hint:

A mangle for wringing water out of sails?

Half-right.

That hint might be useless as those things aren’t common outside Finland…

that would be my guess, too.
the beams standing next to it look like racks to drape the sails (or nets?) over to dry.
@vermes82 , a little more info? used primarily in Finland? i am very curious now.

Okay then, for Finland specific its a mangle for wringing Salmiakki out of sails?

It’s used on tandem with those piers. You are really close.
