I found a wonderful thing! In the wild! On insta/FB no less!?
I think this particular painting is so damned intelligent in its use of color, symmetry, visual metaphor, brushwork… just a damned good painting all the way through.
I looked the guy up and I really enjoy his style.
Just thought I’d share something I thought was beautiful in this world.

I saw an exploded e-scooter on the street the other morning. aside from the wreckage below there was also a big black soot pile and small, paper thin sheets of cooper blowing around. I’m guessing those are the fins? sheets? of the battery (I know not of what I speak) The mangled metal was kinda shocking.

It’s weird how close we could get. I’m sure we were on cameras, but we saw no other humans or vehicles.
