Every time I watch one of these restoration videos I think hey I could do that. Then they break out the milling machine and it’s game over for my ambition.
You should restore yourself a milling machine.
I was conflicted at the end when the shiny new vise was revealed, cos the first thing I do with a new bench vise is file off any sharp edges and corners that might inflict an injury to my hands.

Hmmm… I enjoy a lot of these vids but i’ve seen some that make me question how authentic the restore really is when the rust seems too uniform and doesn’t seem to have penetrated the metal like you would expect if the thing had been oxidizing for years. I love the my mechanics channel though, mainly for their metal working skills.
