The many-toed cats of Hatteras Island are said to be descendants of the Deering’s cat, and there are a couple buildings (including Lee Robinson’s General Store, I think) that incorporate timbers from the ship.

(EDIT: It occurs to me that these things are probably mentioned in the podcast and I have just revealed that I didn’t listen to it :face_with_raised_eyebrow:)
