My father was friends with Ben Carlin through the 60s when Half Safe was parked in a grassy field near the South River Md. Sitting on it (never allowed in) and imagining driving up on beaches all over the world was a highlight till the eventual, “Get the hell off that damned Jeep!” sounded.
