Continuing the discussion from True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto accused of plagiarism:
Radiolab’s episode of Monday the 8th is about another influence on the nihilism expressed by the character Rust Cohle of True Detective. The academic Eugene Thacker emptied his thoughts about the essential emptiness of life into a book titled In the Dust Of This Planet, which may be having some impact on the zeitgeist… or maybe it just had a really cool cover design.
Has anyone leapt upon this particular Shrike? Can we get an idea of what’s in the book?
