Thanks. I do think that this is the only way those who voted for him will ever learn: by having something taken away from them (including fulfillment of a promise or an impression that he’s on their side on one issue or another) and having the maturity and intelligence to admit they were conned.

This is what separates the 19% from the Know-Nothing 27%, but either way they have to come to the realisation on their own* and, if they do, process it with humility. Then and only then can we engage with them like grownups.

Every time I listen to SHS I’m amazed at her ability to say things that are blatantly untrue and abnormal without losing her composure.
