I love the amazing, detailed, gory animation. The whole show is pretty incredible. This is just the final battle in ths season finale, and its a bit out of context. Still fantastic.

Fun Fact: this was an alternate storyboard for the first part of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Considering the enormous swarm the monkeys could form, I can’t believe none of the monkeys can get in just a quick bite before getting smashed, which is all they need, as the wound would get infected and belatedly kill the big monster, ensuring that later big monsters would think twice about whether its worth it to fight with monkeys.
Saw this fight while flipping through channels last week. Yeah it’s pretty violent but it’s nothing that graphic when compared to the straight up gorefest that is called Blood C.
At least this scene has real artistry.
