Edit: I’ve just realized that this is a glass-half-empty type of photo. I was wondering why the woman in the background was smiling at the funeral of this little kid’s big brother. Then the penny dropped.

I wonder how voluntarily the subjects of these made it onto the intertubes. “What do I do about $Relative who will facebook anything over everyone’s express objections?” seems to be a persistent advice column staple at this point.

But everything has just GOT to go through the walled gardens these days, or it just doesn’t exist… All things, after all, only exist as data points to exploit for the tech companies, after all!
