UK council parking fines are little more than a con. Effectively an extra tax on motorists. Some areas have been specifically designed to increase the amount of money raised from fines, some are designed so it’s actually impossible to use the road legally. This is a great method for fighting back, most people can’t be bothered to contest the fines.
