I like all the little touches in The Expanse novels about how Belter society was shaped by life in microgravity. For example, when people from Earth or Mars have a meeting in microgravity they tend to gather around a table even if they’re “on the float,” wearing magnetic boots to hold themselves in place in some semblance of what life is like on the surface of a planet. Belters’ entire sense of ship architecture is devoid of traditional “up” or “down” so when they have a meeting they float freely in a spherical arrangement.
