Is it a good idea to move to a remote cabin to "write"?

Sure you have the horror show scenarios but I’d risk it if Goldie Hawn showed up.

Just clock in as usual and find yourself an empty cubicle.

I’d want a cabin that’s read-only.

I knew a Swede who retreated to a village high above Italy’s Amalfi Coast to write. Not isolation, just change. Meanwhile, my most productive songwriting period was spent in jail. Not isolation, just nothing much else to do but write. I’ve seen people composing in crowded, noisy cafes. Not isolation, just change. Do it differently.

The in-cubicle sabbatical is incomprehensibly underrated.
