This is key for me too.
I absolutely love many vegan recipes, when they don’t try to emulate cheese or meat. I had an amazing pizza with blobs of cashew paste that was very unfortunately billed as “cashew cheese” - it tasted amazing, but only if you didn’t try to imagine it as failed cheese. So I threw those words out of my head and enjoyed my pizza.
