Boy’s about as sharp as a bowling ball.

While Foghorn Leghorn’s popularity has endured, he’s a parody of Senator Claghorn, who seems to have been forgotten with the demise of Radio.

As pointed Foghorn Leghorn was a parody of a certain sort of Southern Gentleman.

Fun fact - I wasn’t allowed to say “shut up” when I was a kid, so I couldn’t quote his classic line, “Aaahhhhh, ssshuuuuttt uuupppp!”

Kennedy was a public figure for years before he started talking like this. When he was a Democrat elected as State Treasurer 20 years ago he didn’t speak with this comical accent or overly folksy expressions. This is a complete act which shows that he views his republican base as uneducated hicks
