It's not just the TSA. It's endemic of a larger problem

I use to live in New Mexico, I was visiting friends in California and was frequently congratulated on immigrating to the USA, asked how do I like the US, and to compare the many differences between my old country and my newly adopted country. Now I live in Hawaii. On several occasions flying back from the main land or as I like to think of it the big big island, the person I’m sitting next to will turn to me in absolute panic and say, “Help! What am I going to do? I forgot my passport”
