This is how voodoo hexes work:
- The victim must know they have been hexed
- The victim must believe that the hex has the power to kill
- The victim must believe that no one has the power to lift the hex.
They often fade away and die. OR some have died of stress hormone overload. Because they believed that they were hexed and fated to die.

Is this what a field mouse does when the cat catches one? The often just freezes up before dying with no chomping required.
