the first full length James Brown record I bought (actually a tape from the Great Escape) also had a really good live version of this song, which was how I first heard it
Also, on that Christmas of 2006, I went to the movies via Peachtree St. and passed Atlanta Crawford Long Hospital going to the theater and again back home. I later found out he was there and passed during that time. Felt even worse, somehow.
