My biggest take on the James Corden show is that the show hardly ever utilized Reggie Watts comedic skills!

i assume Leno was busy too, and Craig Ferguson. Maybe Leno said “no” when he heard Letterman was on board, though. I love that Dave just sits in the back, glowering, like the elder statesman he is.

Ferguson and Leno working together on The Late Late Show was one of the great moments there and Cameron Esposito came in and made it even funnier.
The funniest part only entertaining part of the Corden show was the bits. That’s why watching the clips on the web was more than enough.
The actual interviews were terrible.
PS - Loved the Letterman walk-on. It was SO Dave!
