Those vids are so good. Love the closeups where you can see Jimi fretting the low E with his thumb off and on as necessary.
Took me a little bit to get a good screenshot of the headstock, but I did and used google image search as I was curious what kind of guitar that is. FWIW - Zemaitis 12-string.
This is cool but my inner pedant can’t let Open Culture get away with this line:

He plays without a pick for a small part of the clip but then switches to picking with his thumb. That is not ‘folk-style’.
I’ve listened to that recording of “Hear my train a comin” over a hundred times; it’s the first track of the Jimi Hendrix Blues album which was a cornerstone of my late teens. It was great to get to see him play it.
