That was fun, thank you for posting . It seems that Keith Moon (R.I.P.) was always an instigator. I heard Graham Chapman speak at my university in the late 1980s and he shared many tales of his adventures with “Moonie”, including some exploits in the Dangerous Sports Club.
Joe Walsh for President!
Also worth mentioning that “But Seriously Folks” is a really good album - pretty mellow and almost pensive in places. “Life’s Been Good” is kind of an anomaly on the record.
… and I’m immediatley going back over the tablature in my head. That particular intro riff is iconic.
Joe Walsh’s reflections on finding sobriety are also of note, part of this article:
I love Joe Walsh.
I also love the fact that Joe Walsh and Ringo Starr are related. Can you imagine the holiday get togethers.
The entire interview with both of them is really good.
I was searching for Sam Kinison earlier because of the sick humor topic, sometimes the YouTube algorithm works well. This video of Joe Walsh and Sam popped up. I forgot Sam could play a decent guitar.
this song and Rocky Mountain Way are two of his i can never get tired of. His work with the James Gang was also really great. i believe (late, also great) Tommy Bolin replaced him in the James Gang when he left to join the Eagles, but i’m not entirely sure about that.
Mojo Nixon, interviewed in 1999, said:
Joe Walsh can’t move. If he moves, he’ll fall over. I met Joe Walsh trying to rehabilitate in Memphis years ago. I can’t believe he was touring! His brain seemed totally scrambled. I’m talking scrambled scrambled. He could hardly hold a conversation. He’s just a big mess. I said, “Whoa, I don’t want to end up like that! Not for a couple years, anyway!”
Interesting set of points of view. I like!
Uh oh, here comes a flock of WAH WAAAHS
LIfe’s been Good. One of the songs you have to blast while cruising down the highway.
