We used to have a place called Jack’s Joke Shop in Park Square area of Downtown Boston MA that had masks like he makes: ultra-realistic monster masks. I could never afford one when I was a kid. But man, did I want one.
Now i could probably afford one but all the Downtown joke shops closed years ago.
There used to be a horror prop maker down the street from me and I’d frequently cut through their lot on the way to the convenience store. When they were testing a new latex blend or had a particularly large they would occasionally leave things out to dry in the parking lot. There would just be stacks of arms and monster heads all over the place. It added a special life to the neighborhood, especially this time of year.
