PragerU medical school?
For the sake of all the fucks?!
Another example of horrific results due to for-profit healthcare. We see more private clinics popping everywhere… even in retail stores. The lack of consistent regulations, especially in some specialties like cosmetic surgery and coroners has been repeatedly covered in the news. Yet corporate interests override protection of the people every time. The lack of severe penalties, lowering barriers of entry for bad practitioners/repeat offenders, and slap on the wrist fines or mediation settlements just enable it to continue.
If nothing else; it seems like there might be an insurer out there who is very interested in the existence of a bill for ventilating the already dead.
I’m certainly not in a blame the victim thing for this, it’s clearly Adena’s fault. But at the same time, wow. We have doc-in-a-box doing heart surgery now? Like, I trust my doc in a box for physical injuries, covid tests, blood tests, and that’s about it. Everything else goes to doctors with state board certifications and diplomas from universities I’m aware of, and in cases where they’re messing with my aorta and I get a say, those board certifications and studies should be in the type of surgery I’m getting.
What a sad state of affairs that our medical system has gotten here.
I mean, one shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but somehow I already knew which mugshot below was the one who did this.
That said, obviously it was the whole for-profit healthcare system that “did this,” not one (allegedly) unqualified schmuck.
Right? That mug could be the wiktionary illustration for “douchebro.”
Hey, it adds something to have uncredentialed doctors.
why in the world the insurance companies wouldn’t demand this seems beyond me ( unless old people are so expensive the algorithm has decided there should be fewer of them )
stuff like this
" Step-by-Step Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement with a Self-Expanding Valve"
“Sponsored by Skillshare!”
The grinner up there is claimed to be “uncredentialed,” and Adena the kind of place where “uncredentialed” doctors can get hired to do specialized cardiac surgery. … procedures they were “unfamiliar with,”
Sounds like the Freedom Caucus.
I’d feel safer in the hands of Dr. Bob and his team.
Now would be a great time for someone to remind us that US healthcare is the best in the world, streaks ahead of those socialistic systems used in all other developed nations.
