Lawyer for kid whose parents paid $1.2m bribe to get into Yale says the high price shows grifters' anti-Chinese bias

Didn’t say it was logical in my world. But rich kids getting into American colleges because their parents made big donations to the university or to some cause someone on the board of directors has a stake in is definitely a trope I’ve come across often enough in pop culture to make me assume there must be some truth to it. I have no idea whether that actually happens in the real world or if it has any relevance to these people’s decision making but it does fit neatly with the story as it was written up in this article.

Have you noticed that the form where you say you won’t be asking for financial aid is due before admissions decisions are made?
