I’m very much a beginner when it comes to makeup, but I might pick up this book just to marvel at techniques that are way above my pay grade. It would be pretty much the same reason I watch Face/Off.
I love this stuff, always have. In college I was a Theatre Arts major in part so I could maybe become the next Rob Bottin… but since one always practices on one’s own face, I gave it up pretty quickly. I always hated having makeup on my face, and I never could persuade friends or family to sit still long enough for me to work on their faces.
