Glad it worked out, but it seems like there would have been better options available. That police cruiser was a fairly heavy looking vehicle. If it had pulled in front of the truck and slowly braked it probably could have stopped it, since it was only going 5 mph.
But at least nobody got shot.

Smarter, and much, much, much safer choice. Imagine if she had crawled halfway through and the apparently confused/distressed driver had floored the gas pedal – even accidentally. The cop was very brave, but not smart.

Maybe, but someone on autopilot like that might swerve if a car appeared in front of them like that.
Eh - it’s Monday quarterbacking. Probably was some better options, but I’ll give them a pass for making it work and not hurting anyone.
