Surely I’m not the only one who felt the need to rehear Axl sing it though:

I often look on this type of music with a vague sense of disbelief that I grew up listening to it (I think GnR was the first tape I ever owned)

Embrace it. Appetite for Destruction is one of the very few perfect albums–it communicates exactly what it’s designed to communicate without a single clunker of a track, all performed by highly talented musicians.

Hey, could be worse, I grew up with a lot of Def Leppard, some Bon Jovi, and Motley Crue. I was listening to the NYC alt rock station out of Long Island, but my friends were all into things that people in Queens like… the Wrestler was uncomfortably familiar. Guns and Roses is less embarrassing.
