He definitely corrupted my mind at a young age. And by “corrupted” I mean taught me to question authority, see through inane excuses, and find humor in life Thank you, Mr. Jaffee!
His obituary will be in the form of a Mad Fold-In…
102 is impressive no matter how you slice it. I’ve read Mr. Jaffee’s work since I was young, and that was quite some time ago. Well lived, sir.
As a side note, “multiple organ failure” is a pretty good description of dying of old age. Remember, it’s not the number that kills you, it’s the accumulated damage.
Is he really dead?
No, he’s just sleeping. In a coffin. Six feet below the ground. Forever.
I don’t want to do this fold-in…
=:(
All those fantastic inventions and he couldn’t come up with one to handle that one.
A life well lived, with plenty of young minds like my own gloriously twisted by his work.
First Pollack (ok, they’re not Mad, but still comic), now Jaffe, has anyone wrapped Crumb in bubble wrap yet?
Aw man, RIP. He was one of the greats!
Fair sailing, Mr. Jaffee.
Thank you so much for the light your brought us.
You were a truly amazing hilarious Happy Mutant.
A detailed, delicious bio here:
I enjoyed reading it.
If that and/or the funeral program aren’t fold-ins, it’s a wasted opportunity.
