I mean, this is basically half of philosophy. I was contemplating a major until I realized that it was just a bunch of dead men whose arguments basically started with “because God exists, x must be true”. I guess when everyone you’re conversing with is bought into the same logical fallacy it’s easy to sound like a genius. I actually had a dude in a bar quote Thomas Aquinas at me as evidence that the Papacy wasn’t corrupt.
