As it seems to have basically consisted of powdered sugars, there really wasn’t anything to go bad, assuming it was kept dry. I assume that would pretty much be the most shelf-stable of canned edible substances, as I don’t see anything that would decompose or chemically change at room temperature. Contamination with some poisonous substances would be the concern… which yeah, hasn’t really changed.

Before even thinking about the contents, I’d be worried about lead in the can leaching out over all that time.
