I always thought it was funny that in the orig Star Trek a glass of water filled with glitter was used as the transporter effect.

Welcome to the “wonderful world” of network cameras, where any short transmission outage makes parts of the compressed image not update and show a static version of the last correctly transmitted data-block instead…
