I don’t understand the whole closed door thing.
I mean, I do, but why is no one calling them out on it besides Hunter.
They did exactly what Hunter is saying they will do with his testimony to Fauci.
They got him to testify behind closed doors with no full transcript being released, now they can say Fauci
said things that he may or may not have said with no context.
I doubt they’ll get a contempt charge because he’s offering to testify any time as long as it’s in public.
I know what they’re afraid of but what are they really afraid of?
Losing their Hunter Hunter Hunter pretend evidence is what scares them.
And what’s with Mace saying out loud that Hunter has no balls? What’s happened to the decorum they keep wanting?

I heard Raskin clearly asking for a vote to question Hunter Biden then and there. Everyone is calling them on it, the media doesn’t seem to care.

It seems pretty clear to me that they’re not “afraid” as such, but they want a closed-door hearing so they can control the narrative and invent stuff as others have noted above. If they’re afraid of anything it’s that public testimony would demonstrate that their persecution of Hunter Biden is just a nothingburger cooked up to get at the old man.

I was wrong, another democrat is calling them out.
Florida Democrat Jared Moskowitz tore into Republicans for wanting to hold Biden in contempt. “I’ll make this bipartisan. I’ll vote for the Hunter contempt today,” Moskowitz said. “You can get my vote, but I want you to show the American people that you’re serious.”
Moskowitz then proceeded to enter into the record subpoenas for multiple Republican representatives to testify before the House January 6 investigative committee. As Moskowitz pointed out, Scott Perry, Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan, Mo Brooks, Andy Biggs, and Kevin McCarthy all refused to appear before the committee.
“There’s an amendment coming to add some of those names into the contempt order. You vote to add those names, and show the American people that we apply the law equally, not just when it’s Democrats,” Moskowitz said. “Show that you’re serious and that everyone is not above the law.”
Toward the end of the hearing, Moskowitz pointed out that if the issue is that Biden won’t testify, it could be easily resolved then and there. After all, Biden was at the hearing.
But when Moskowitz asked for a show of hands from people who wanted to hear Biden’s testimony, almost no Republicans raised their hand.

Seems like we get a few more every two years. If we survive the next few years and this trend continues, I am very hopeful about our democracy. We’ve had a few radically progressive swings over the years, but every damn one of them was led by wealthy, old white men. Can you imagine another led by women like this? Gives me the shivers.
